The Community Service committee assists our club meet real needs in our community and around the world. The committee  plans and carries out successful service projects that utilises funds and club members time to benefit those in need.
Each year we conduct a Golf Day in March, this year we raised $8000 for the White Ribbon Appeal. In previous years we have donated funds to Lifeline, HMRI, Prostate Cancer and the ASPECT School at Thornton.
In October we hold a weekend Book Sale at the Therry Centre in East Maitland. Over the years the funds raised have been donated back to local schools to support their literacy programs.
Recently, a BBQ trailer has been purchased to allow club members to support Maitland netball Association through the provision of a monthly BBQ catering service. Funds raised from these events supports local students to participate in Rotary Youth Programs.
Since 2013, we have worked in partnership with Maitland Regional Art Gallery, initiating fundraising events to support the building of a labyrinth garden in the grounds of MRAG and also to support their Art and Dementia program.
In 2012-13, the committee led the club in introducing an Anti-Graffiti program. We were able to secure a government grant to purchase our own trailer and graffiti removal resources which has enabled club members to regularly monitor and remove graffiti within the local CBD.
